Hello world

Welcome to my blog! I will be posting here regularly (Wednesdays, and also whenever I feel like it) about anything and everything that interests me, primarily anything related to language, linguistics, and computer science. More specifically, you can expect posts on machine learning, NLP, AI, ESL (and probably plenty of other initialisms), general linguistics, Russia(n), phonology, and maybe some music. They'll explore what I'm currently working on and learning about, and hopefully you'll learn something too!

My next post should be up soon. It will be about how terrible (but useful) PDFs are and how difficult it is to get the text out of them. It's worse than you think, I guarantee it.
